Dr. Caroline was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After completing seven years of study at the University of Saskatchewan, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May of 1989. Upon graduation, she moved to Red Deer, Alberta, to begin her career in Dentistry. Over the years, she has maintained her practice with honesty and integrity and has been proud to see her family of patients continue to grow. Dr. Caroline considers herself very fortunate to work with such wonderful patients here in Central Alberta who support her and her practice.
Dr. Caroline believes in, and is committed to continuing her education to provide you with the techniques and materials to make your dental experience the most positive and satisfying you have ever received. Her desire to help her patients achieve health is what continues to fuel her passion for Dentistry. Beyond her dental degree, Dr. Caroline has further studied all aspects of general dentistry. She looks forward to providing her patients with dental care that is preventive in nature, evidence-based, and minimally-invasive at every opportunity.
One of Dr. Caroline's greatest desires is to offer her dental services to those patients who have limited or no access to dental care. She volunteers her time at the Dental Outreach of Red Deer (DOoR) clinic in Red Deer, and is pursuing opportunities to complete dental mission trips. She, along with four of the team are excited to be heading to Guatemala in February 2018.
In her time away from the office, Dr. Caroline enjoys many varied outdoor pursuits, sports and travelling. She is a theatre- and movie-lover, budding Flamenco dancer, calligrapher, mom to her fur baby “Sunny”, and student of languages, most recently Russian. You may also find her cheering on her “Roughriders”!
Dr. Caroline is married to her husband Scott, and alongside him, enjoys balance in her life in the company of family, good friends, and the community at large.
Dr. Robert was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. He moved to Red Deer to play volleyball for the Red Deer College Kings, and spent two years with the Kings while studying general science. It was during this time that Dr. Robert fell in love with the city and the people of Red Deer. He returned to his hometown to complete his Bachelor of Science in Biology before attending the University of Alberta's School of Dentistry.
Dr. Robert enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and loves working with his patients to maintain the highest standards of oral health. As a former member of the SHINE Dental Clinic, a charity organization focusing on providing dental care to under-serviced youth in downtown Edmonton, Dr. Robert has developed a special interest in working with children and is looking forward to continuing to do so in Red Deer.
Dr. Robert cites the people and their strong sense of community as his main incentive to call Red Deer home once again. Outside of the office, you will be able to spot him down at the Riverbend Golf Course or swimming lanes at the Dawe Community Center. As an aficionado of the outdoors, physical activity and adventure, he also loves to get away to the mountains or to explore what the rest of Canada and the world have to offer.
Being an Oilers fan, Dr. Robert often refers to a quote from new coach Todd McLellan that states: "If you aren't constantly moving forward, you are falling behind". He places a great importance on continuing education and is looking forward to constantly striving to improve the ways in which he can better serve the people of Red Deer.
Meagan's life began in Caledonia, Ontario. She started her dental career in 2005 after receiving her dental assisting diploma from CDI College in Hamilton, Ontario. After 4 years as a chairside assistant, she decided to work in reception, and has found her passion. Meagan prides herself on being a customer service specialist. She looks for opportunities to build relationships with our patients and enjoys helping them understand their benefit plans and the importance of dental health. Meagan is a forever-learner, seeking out courses to improve her dental administration skills. She moved to our area in 2012 and is an ambassador of what our office stands for. When not working she is with her husband and three children, and also loves camping, crafts, canning, baking, coffee and a good book.
Jessica grew up near Fort Erie, Ontario, as far south as you can go in Canada. Jessica’s father is a dental technician, so she grew up with dentistry in the family. This prompted her to attend George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario, and graduate with honours as a Registered Dental Assistant. She enjoyed assisting for 13 years, but found her true calling in dental administration. In 2013 Jessica moved out west to the Red Deer area. Since joining our reception team, patients have found her to be kind, caring, and always helpful with appointments and answering questions. She is always keen to learn new things as well. Jessica is the proud mother of two awesome children, Soumaya and Isaiah. When not at the office, she loves to run, and attempts to do the Woody’s marathon each year. Jessica also enjoys spending time at the lake, as well as camping and hiking in the mountains, even though she is afraid of heights!
Cristina was born in Stratford Ontario, and raised in Cambridge, Ontario. In 2005 she graduated from Niagara College and received her Diploma in Dental Hygiene. Cristina worked in Ontario for almost ten years before moving to this area in 2015 with her husband and 2 children. You will find Cristina to be an efficient and gentle hygienist who enjoys educating our patients. She is both kind and honest, and truly wants to work with patients to improve their oral health. Cristina brings to our office the gifts of experience and passion for dentistry. She has a genuine interest in the well-being of all our patients. In her free time, Cristina enjoys a variety of activities including reading, baking amazing cakes, crafts, sports, and exploring Alberta's beautiful outdoors with her family.
Katherine was born in Rocky Mountain House, and lived around Condor before moving to Red Deer as a young teenager. After finishing high school, she worked and travelled overseas. Upon her return, she started her first year in the communications program at Red Deer College while playing basketball for the Queens. It wasn’t until her second year of college that she discovered her educational niche. In 2013 she received her diploma in dental hygiene from the Toronto College of Dental Hygiene. Following graduation, Katherine worked in various locations in British Columbia, completing maternity leave contracts prior to moving back to Red Deer to be closer to family and friends. Katherine is a very thorough and gentle hygienist. Her extensive knowledge and dedication to the improvement of patients’ oral health is evident every day. In her free time, Katherine enjoys a variety of activities including hiking, camping, sports, exploring Alberta, and globetrotting.
Kylene was born in Calgary but grew up in Rockyford, AB. She credits her family and small town upbringing in forming her values especially for helping people. This desire led Kylene to the health care field where she attended Columbia College in Calgary and received her Level II Registered Dental Assistant certification. After gaining valuable experience working in dental clinics in Fort Saskatchewan and Cold Lake, Kylene decided to move to the Red Deer area to be closer to her family. With confidence and a sense of humor, she always strives to make every patient feel at home in our office with the most comfortable and enjoyable dental experience they have ever had. When not at work, Kylene enjoys reading. You will also find her spending time in the outdoors, camping and off-roading in her Jeep with her husband and “fur baby” Zooey.
Melissa was born in the small railroad town of Chapleau Ontario, and raised in Bancroft, another small town in southern Ontario. She found an interest in the dental field and attended Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, graduating as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2007. Melissa began her dental assisting career in Thunder Bay, Ontario and became passionate for the profession after building many strong relationships with patients and helping them realize the importance of their dental health. During a trip to Banff National Park and with one view of the mountains, she decided this was where she wanted to reside. After 8 years working as an assistant and receptionist, she decided to make the move to Red Deer and join our office. Melissa is a competent and caring assistant who develops a great rapport with our patients and manages to make them laugh! With a great passion for outdoors, hiking, fishing, camping, hunting and especially photography, she knew this was the place for her!
Stacey was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, but raised here in Red Deer, Alberta! Stacey took an interest in dental assisting while completing her own orthodontic treatment. If not for the wonderful team of dental assistants taking care of her she wouldn't be in the career she is today. Stacey completed the registered dental assistant program at KDM College in Calgary. Shortly after graduating, she moved back home to join our team. Stacey exudes personality. She brings a great sense of humour to the office, which helps put our patients as ease. Her thoughtful attention to detail and constant striving for excellence make her a valued member of our team. Away from the office, Stacey spends most of her time with family and friends, doing many outdoor activities. She loves hiking, skiing, and being in the mountains as much as she can.
Rebecca was born and raised on Vancouver Island, where she fell in love with the water and sailing. At the age of 19, she took an interest in dentistry when she got braces. Rebecca had a wonderful dental assistant who inspired her. Along with the desire to help people, she decided that a career in dentistry would be a great way to give back to the community and change people's lives. She graduated from the registered dental assistant program at NAIT in Edmonton. After working there for a few years, she wanted to settle in a smaller community, so she chose beautiful Red Deer. You will find Rebecca to be a conscientious, dedicated assistant who is passionate about helping our patients receive the best care possible. Rebecca has two cats, her “fur babies”; a calico named Finley and Oliver, whom she walks on the trails of Red Deer — he thinks he's a dog! In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys nature, visiting with friends, playing violin, kayaking, and riding her moped in the summer.
