Dr. Caroline was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After completing seven years of study at the University of Saskatchewan, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in May of 1989. Upon graduation, she moved to Red Deer, Alberta, to begin her career in Dentistry. Over the years, she has maintained her practice with honesty and integrity and has been proud to see her family of patients continue to grow. Dr. Caroline considers herself very fortunate to work with such wonderful patients here in Central Alberta who support her and her practice.
Dr. Caroline believes in, and is committed to continuing her education to provide you with the techniques and materials to make your dental experience the most positive and satisfying you have ever received. Her desire to help her patients achieve health is what continues to fuel her passion for Dentistry. Beyond her dental degree, Dr. Caroline has further studied all aspects of general dentistry. She looks forward to providing her patients with dental care that is preventive in nature, evidence-based, and minimally-invasive at every opportunity.
One of Dr. Caroline's greatest desires is to offer her dental services to those patients who have limited or no access to dental care. She volunteers her time at the Dental Outreach of Red Deer (DOoR) clinic in Red Deer, and is pursuing opportunities to complete dental mission trips. She, along with four of the team, completed a memorable mission trip to Chisec, Guatemala in February 2018.
In her time away from the office, Dr. Caroline enjoys many varied outdoor pursuits, sports and travelling. She is a theatre- and movie-lover, budding Flamenco dancer, calligrapher, and student of languages, most recently Russian. You may also find her cheering on her “Roughriders”!
Dr. Caroline is married to her husband Scott, and alongside him, enjoys balance in her life in the company of family, good friends, and the community at large.
Leanne was born in Calgary, Alberta but as a young child her family moved to Brooks, Alberta where she finished her schooling. In British Columbia, she was an owner operator of a houseboat company but eventually the wide-open prairies and blue skies of Alberta called her home. Leanne completed her Dental Administration Course at the Bow Valley College in Calgary in 2005. As part of our administration team Leanne is a customer service specialist! She loves working with our patients to make their experience efficient and informative. Leanne is committed to continuing education; learning about the advances and developments in dentistry is what keeps her in this field. She feels there is always something new to learn from our patients as well. Leanne loves reading anything that challenges her mind, writing poetry, skiing and nice long quiet walks..."no marathons for me"! She says the best thing she can make for dinner - is reservations!
Theresa was raised in Wainwright, AB but came to Red Deer in 1999. She began her dental career in Office Administration in 2008 and has become an integral part of our team. As Hygiene Coordinator, she takes special care to welcome patients and help them feel comfortable in our clinic. Her kindness and compassion are evident to all. Theresa enjoys assisting our patients with scheduling their appointments and supporting them with her knowledge of the dental business. She loves the challenge of learning and growing and is proud to be part our team providing excellent dental care for patients of all ages. Theresa has two beautiful daughters and a granddaughter who are the joy of her life! Her hobbies include gardening, camping, downhill skiing and walking her dog Oreo.
Shantelle was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and was raised in a small town near the city. After high school, she headed to Great Falls, Montana to receive her dental assisting training. When she returned to Alberta, she wrote her board exam and became a Registered Dental Assistant. She has been practicing in the field for over 25 years. In 2009 she continued her education and received her diploma in Preventive Dentistry, so she can help patients with their dental cleanings. In our office Shantelle is an ambassador of patient care, priding herself on building relationships with our patients. She works closely with Dr. Caroline to provide excellence in dentistry, and the opportunity to advance her knowledge and skills in our profession is of great importance to her. Outside of work, Shantelle loves spending her time with her two beautiful daughters and her two poodles, especially enjoying quiet evenings at home. She is a certified deep-sea diver and loves snorkeling while traveling to Mexico.
Monica is an Albertan through and through, with most of her life lived here in Red Deer. As a child Monica had some tough dental experiences, so she developed the desire to change that for others; to be part of a team that is focused on the patient and good experiences. She pursued her studies in Dental Assisting in Calgary, and even though experienced, she has already learned so much by working with Dr. Caroline. Monica prides herself on her ability to support our patients through their appointments and educate them in healthy habits. Monica is a dedicated assistant who desires to help our patients achieve the best smile they can. When not at work she enjoys travelling around Alberta, B.C., and Montana for hiking and photography. Monica also enjoys spending time her dog and cats, and her hobby of jewelry making.
Melissa was born and raised in Newfoundland before making a home in Alberta. She completed her Registered Dental Assisting Diploma in Calgary and is excited to further her career here at our clinic. Melissa brings joy to our office and her easy-going personality shines through. She is always smiling! Although Melissa focuses on the sterilization in our office, she also assists Dr.Caroline chair-side where she enjoys working with our patients to make them feel welcome and to meet their dental needs. Melissa helps our team to keep the clinical area organized, clean, and efficiently run, and maintains our instruments and equipment in top condition. In her spare time, you can find her surrounded by family and friends, hiking the
Rockies, painting, photographing wildlife, and exploring the green spaces of Red Deer.
